Hi I build my app on 10.11 with a base SDK of 10.11 and a deployment target of 10.9. This seems like the best way of keeping up with OS X developments and releases while maintaining legacy OS compatibility.
When I test on 10.9 for instance I often find that there are subtle issues on that platform that do not appear on 10.11. So I need to debug my 10.11 build on 10.9. What are my options here? I know I can use LLDB in standalone mode. I can also open my Xcode 7 project in Xcode 5 on 10.9 and attach to a running debug build of my 10.11 binary. However, I haven’t been to able to get it to recognise a breakpoint as yet. Any thoughts or suggestions on the topic would help a lot.
