I was fortunate to enjoy a 5 hour flight with wave, ridge and thermic
lift yesterday. I had this new version on my HP4700 PDA. I got outside
air temperature readings from my B500 on Xcsoar, as well as "zig-zag"
wind speed calculations.

This was my first flight where I had the PDA mounting and cabling
working satisfactorily and I have only just begun to learn Xcsoar.

I did not believe the answers from the zig-zag calc's so when I got some
hight in the wave I played with the PDA and started a "raw log". Now
afterwards, I have discovered I can replay the raw log and revisit the
whole flight in detail. This is really cool, both as a learning aid and
also a development tool!

I will go through this flight carefully, read the manual to try find
answers to my questions, then I will post some comments on this list.

(I had a fun day, much better than going to work!)

Thanks

Ian
