Thank you all for helping with the conversion!

I was now able to convert our modified home field specific TP file to AirNavPro
format, to be used on iPad in a touring motorglider. While generally being used
as a landscape viewing device, the TMG is also used to show novice XC pilots
around the countryside, so it makes sense to have the usual turnpoints
available there. With the large screen area and resolution the iPad has, it is
even possible to always show the full TP names, eg. "NIENBURG Railway Bridge"
instead of "NIENBRB". Very comfortable. Screen declutter is obviously not a
priority here.

Each time I look at that screen I wish I could also have a bit more scree area
in a glider, too.
WM5 devices are usually much smaller, and twice as large would probably be
enough.
I have never experimented with XCSoar on PC.
I do have a MotionComputing A4 sized TabletPC at work, but it's heavy, bulky
and drains a real lot of power.
There are medium sized PC based tablets out there.
Has any of you tried these in a glider yet?
