Hi David,

I also have a 310 and connected it successfully. There are several
sources out in the net concerning the serial 310 connectivity.

The 310 has a not documented debug interface on the usb connector. It is
a RS232 with TTL (3.3V) voltage levels. You need a voltage converter
like http://picprojects.org.uk/projects/simpleSIO/ssio.htm and an 5V
power supply line. To activate the hidden RS232 interface you have to
shortcut two of the miniUSB lines by proper cabeling.

Some discussions about:
http://www.aviationkb.com/Uwe/Forum.aspx/soaring/12157/Naviter-Oudie-Should-be-Available-in-April-2010

There is no driver needed on the 310. Set XCSoar port A to COM3
(miniUSB) and port B to COM7, wich is connected to the internal GPS.

Helmut

The ultimate all-in-one performance toolkit: Intel(R) Parallel Studio XE:
Pinpoint memory and threading errors before they happen.
Find and fix more than 250 security defects in the development cycle.
Locate bottlenecks in serial and parallel code that limit performance.
