Unfortunatly i don't happen to have both devices handy, it was simply a
quick test with a reletive's phone (the samsung) vs my phone (the dell
streak), last weekend.

Don't get me wrong, I use the dell streak as my phone and navigation device,
and it is really very good outside - i'm very happy with it. I was just
genuinly suprised at how well the Super AMOLED display compared when i held
them side by side, I had expected the streak would be much better. As i
mentioned, i didn't have any issues at all reading text on either display,
the only difference that was obvious was the richness of the colour of the
Super AMOLED display outside. The streak's colours were more washed out - as
if the gamma settings on the display were increased.

While I can't currently provide side-by-side pictures comparing them, this
video should give at least some sort of indication of outside performance.
