No unfortunately. Well it is really up to the individual forum software. The problem is, how in email do you create a new topic. Replying is ok to an existing one. In theory you can use subject or email IDs but it is not easy. Plus forums tend to have higher security than an email list, so they don't trust just the from address.
I am not a fan of forums and rarely use them. My personal preference is to use email lists (and have a good web interface to them for archiving, search etc) and a Wiki for crowd sourced content. One solution, that is not as good as email, but close, is to use RSS Feeds for the forums you want. (BTW. For RSS see RDF, ATOM etc - just a generalisation). It won't allow you to reply, but at least to see new content. With filters/external software/depending on client, you can even get RSS type feeds into your email client. That may help. I know Gmail can do it. Scott On 27/07/2011, at 11:36 AM, David Reitter wrote: > On Jul 26, 2011, at 1:11 PM, Rob Dunning wrote: > >> I added a "User Experience" forum in the XCSoar forums.
