Correction, "turning the Streak 90 degrees or your head may be required". (In fact, this effect can be easily observed with a camera that has a polarizing filter attached. You turn the filter, and in one position, the Streak's screen will go blank.) Polarized sunglasses aren't recommended (there's an FAA document about this) because they can reduce reflections of sunlight on wings of other aircraft.
