this is unfortunatly nothing that we can solve, because that is a
"feature" of the Android operating system...

Android is designed to automatically kill apps in the background if it
is running low on memory. If you get a call on your device, XCSoar
will switch into the background and since we do have a rather
substantial memory-footprint XCSoar has a high chance of getting
killed during that call. Most Android apps can be designed to remember
their state in case they are killed, but since XCSoar is probably one
of the most complex pieces of software on the Android market it is not
exactly trivial for us.
