Hi Rob,
I only have a Flarm connected, no vario, the limited info provided by my
SN10 makes it not worth to connect. My XCSoar setup sorely misses ASI data
but I don't have any way to connect it.

I adjusted the pot to limit the current to 250ma else it can draw over 1A
from the flarm which is a bit too much.
I am not sure it is a voltage issue as when I test at home I feed 5V and it
seems to work fine while the glider provides 12v so if the 12v was weak then
the 5v certainly would not work at all.
I have updated the firmware to 300, increased voltage a bit, loaded v6.3 and
tested on Condor. So far it seems ok, I'll let it track overnight to see.
Unfortunately the new firmware does not work with 6.2 anymore but since 6.3
seems quite stable it ain't a big issue.

Thanks for the help

Jax

Subject: Re: [Xcsoar-user] loss of connection to Flarm via IOIO on Streak 5

Do you have a Flarm and nothing else connected to the IOIO and XCSoar?
(e.g. you don't have a smart vario also connected?) If this is the case,
then it sounds like an issue with your IOIO connection.

Probably you need to adjust the pot voltage knob on the IOIO board to the
maximum voltage. Different IOIO boards seem to use different pots, some have
no "stop" in them and you don't know where the maximum position is. I would
recommend opening your IOIO box, connecting a volt meter to your USB output
terminals that powers your device (while your device is connected), and
figure out where the pot voltage is the maximum and mark it with a pen and
leave it there.

I recently had the same problem when I upgrade from a DroidX to the
Streak5 which seems to require a higher voltage to maintain the connection
with the IOIO.

Also, please upgrade to 6.3beta per the instructions in this thread.

Rob
