Also keep in mind that the money that you spend to buy the catalogue
is used to keep the outlanding fields in good condition so this is
money that is well spent!

Hi everyone!

Today we start the beta-testing phase of XCSoar 6.3. This means that
the feature list for XCSoar 6.3 is now complete and we will focus on
fixing the remaining bugs. You can expect the final version very soon.
If you find any remaining bugs please write a bug report or tell us on
the forum or mailing list.

Compared to the alpha3 version we have fixed another few things and
added some features for the CAI302 device driver. You can read about
the details in the changelog:

http://download.xcsoar.org/releases/6.3_beta1/NEWS.txt

Download:

http://www.xcsoar.org/download/latest.html

The next major release will be 6.3, going final soon.

Thanks for the quick response.

Can you pass on the details on where to order or buy the PDF file?

Had a quick look at the web page below, this is as bit piece meal, would take a
bit of work to collate, rather spend the money on am up to date PDF,
particularly if it helps to keep them running :)

Regards,

Andre

We individually scanned the catalogues we bought in France as a hardcopy and
therefore there is no link available.

Due to copyright rights of the original publisher, I am not able to distribute
this data. In order to stay true to copyright rights everyone would have to buy
a catalogue and scan it for personal use.

Thank you for understanding.

Sascha

Sorry, off topic

But can you pass on the link to the data source for the French Alps outlanding
catalogue?

Thanks,

Andre

HI Olaf,

thanks for clarifying.

I love the feature - I have included the French Alps outlanding catalogue into
pdf, thanks to the efforts of some friends. It makes it easy to access the
crucial approach information for an outlanding field.
For pdf the reader (e.g. Acrobat) always opens, as an external application and
therefore needs the file= command as Olaf had described.

Cheers
Sascha

Images can be embedded with the image= keyword, which should work on all
platforms. The best bet is to use .jpg, if the images should be supported on
all platforms. Some OS's might support only .bmp others also support .png and
maybe more.

With the file= keyword XCSoar will try to launch an external application to
display the contents of the file. This is currently only supported on Android.

HTH Olaf
