No, not if you want Android. CAI302 talks the RS-232 protocol, which
Android does not understand, so you need some sort of active adapter
between the two (IOIO or Bluetooth adapter).

  Hi Peter,
  ?
currently, as you might have already heard, the Dell Streak 5 is considered
state-of-the-art Android device for glider applications and for running XCSoar,
due to?its?bright display.? Since the Streak 5 has been discontinued by Dell
you get them in Ebay between 150 to 200 EUR approximately.
  ?
  >From my personal experience (so far some 50+ flying hours) with?the?my new
Dell and BT connection, the connection works absolutely stable.? I was
sceptical at the beginning, since I was used to connect my Ipaq via a hardwired
interface to the GPS source, but now I love the BT connection.? It also offers
great flexiblity for future hardware updates.
  ?
Hope that helps your decision making.
  ?
  Cheers
  Sascha
  ?

Dear all. I am a newbie to xcsoar and so far very impressed with the system
and support.
I downloaded and now successfully tried it on my Samsung Charge mobil phone.
It is not as sunlight readable as a lot others I am sure but better than the
Ipaq 5150 utilizing WinPilot.
As the Charge is my primary cell phone I am considering a stand alone Android
device, perhaps one that has been a proven success.
My question ; is there a device that could connect hardwire direct into my
CAI 302 without any external device? ( I don't have great success so far with
blue tooth devices but who knows that could change).
  Any word of wisdom appreciated.
