Dan,

My experience with the CAI 302 losing it's connection to XCSoar when 
the MC value changes is that it restores the connection after 30 
seconds.  This is the frequency that the driver in XCSoar polls the 
devices when the connection is lost.  So, I've never had to "recycle 
xcsoar."  Please confirm whether waiting for 30 seconds restores the 
302's connection to XCSoar the next time you have a chance.
