Hi,

I need some help with the Task Calculator in AAT. First here are some stats
from my last few flights:

MC 4.2 Speed 125
MC 5 Speed 137
MC 4.9 Speed 144
MC 5.9 Speed 146

The problem is if I use a MC of say 6kts in the calculator it says I will
achieve a speed of around 120kph and optimise the AAT to this speed.

As my actual speeds are some 25kph faster one option is to increase the
optimisation time to say 20 minutes to get a realistic task distance. Even
so, with a last turn 150-200km from the finish I can still arrive early.

Another option appears to be set MC to say 8-9kts then remove the task
optimisation option. Obviously the arrival delta time blows out to something
like 45 minutes but reduces throughout the flight as the finish approaches.

Neither choice is very satisfactory and there is no option to increase
cruise efficiency above 100% or to set a speed that might be achieved.

I'd be interested in any other thoughts on how realistic task planning can
be managed?

Thanks for your help.

David
