Does XCSoar only use ground speed to determine landing? If so, I suggest to
also verify that the altitude AGL is close to zero.
I didn't have this issue when wave flying but perhaps my ground speed never
dropped so much.
I completely agree with Scott to only use North facing in wave. I always use
North facing, otherwise I find it very disorienting to fly track up.
