I quickly inspected the Flarm Dataport Specs

http://www.flarm.com/support/manual/FLARM_DataportManual_v6.00E.pdf and

http://www.flarm.com/support/manual/developer/dataport_spec_6.00_addendum.txt

The two relevant sentences describing targets are: PFLAU and PFLAA

There doesn't seem to be a way to explicitly differentiate between Flarm
and ADS-B targets via the external Dataport. Flarm likely implemented
custom firware inside the portable to do this.

Mode-S/C is alerted via the *lack* of one directional distance dimension
(RelativeEast) with just (RelativeNorth) sent. This is the main signal that
this is a Mode S/C target. It is only a PFLAA sentence signal. Not sure why
XCSoar does not show this particular case. It likely could.
