Have you tried to just create an XCSoarData folder on the sdcard?

Hi,
I'm unable to point to the Map files etc on the Nexus 7 - running
Android 4.1.2.
XCSoar is looking in /storage/sdcard0/XCSoarData but using ES explorer
I can see that the mount point for file system is /sdcard/ so creating
the directory structure '/storage/sdcard0/XCSoarData' appears to the
operating system as /sdcard/storage/sdcard0/XCSoarData so XCSoar is
unable to locate the files.
Any Ideas?
