It's sometimes needed. For example I created a RMI/SOAP-like thing for
our remote clients. It uses Proxy class and in fact works on an
interface. Currently I use the remote interface, which is ugly for my
case where there are no EJBs involved for the client. A business
interface without deriving from EJBObject is better in this case IMHO, I
don't need to put the ejb.jar in client's classpath.
