I am trying to decide if in future I should use the hibernate 
code generation tools or go in the opposite direction and drive
it all from my source code. 

Would you imagine that by January ( when I guess hibernate 3 will
be stable ) that xdoclet will support java 1.5/5 and hibernate 3 
syntax ? 

It would be usefull to know this as I could then decide to use 
hibernate to drive everything or to use xdoclet instead.
