Haven't tested this 'invoke xdoclet' stuff, but the only thing that I can say about JRun4 is that it's just fabulous. We're deploying to websphere4 on windows and AS400 but so far we've used other app servers for development (Orion/JBoss/JRun so far) and JRun proved to be the best at least for this purpose.
