When it comes to mail client settings that mean I can actually *read* the 
messages here without having to go to the archives to do it (my mail 
client of preference is text only), then I'd rather get to the bottom of 
it.  Next time it might be someone with a problem whose mail I can't read; 
if I can't read it, I can't help them...

Ah, but it's not just Aslak.  There were a couple of similar messages came 
through about a month ago, and odd ones earlier in the year.  By keeping 
it on-list a) someone else who's seen it happen elsewhere might be able to 
give us the answer, and b) if we do figure it out, then others benefit 
from knowing the solution and it's in the archives for anyone to find in 
the future.
