Hi Anthony, but some of the beans - eg the session beans - in xpetstore have the ejbCreates generated for them, but the entity beans don't seem to have this done. What I think needs to be clear, is what defines this behaviour in xdoclet. Is it just as simple as:
xdoclet generates defaul creates, ejbCreates etc for session beans but not for entity beans? cheers, Brian ----- Original Message ----- From: "Miller, Anthony" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, January 22, 2003 9:59 AM Subject: RE: [Xdoclet-user] session bean abstract class > Hi, > > Basically, some application servers let developers be lazy and allow Beans > without the EJB Framework callbacks. > > For instance, xpetstore works on JBOSS and Weblogic 6.1 without the framework > callbacks in some of the beans. > > I suggest that you add the ejbCreate() methods etc and then recompile and > deploy onto you app server. > > Hope this helps > > Anthony Miller > > > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]%INTERNET [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: 22 January 2003 09:11 > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]%INTERNET > Subject: [Xdoclet-user] session bean abstract class > Importance: Low > > > *** WARNING *** > > This mail has originated outside your organization, > either from an external partner or the Global Internet. > Keep this in mind if you answer this message. > > sorry if this is a very dumb question, but when i look at samples from xdoclet > (xpetstore for instance) i see sessionbeans implemented like this: > > public abstract SomeSession implements SessionBean > ... > > and without the sessionbean methods (ejbCreate() etc. > > but when i try to make one like that myself and deploy it to orion i get > errors from orion saying that my class has no ejbCreate method corresponding > to the remote create() method (which is true). > > I have also created some EntityBeans with MiddleGen, and it also creates > a SequenceSessionBean with the same characteristica. i think there would > be more posts about it if noone could get middlegen to work, so i think > i have misunderstood something. > > am i missing something basic here? i cant seem to find anything about this > anywhere, and when i look at examples of sessionbeans (in Mastering EJB > 2.0) the do implement all the lifecycle methods themselves. > > i could really use some pointers here > > sincerely > morten wilken > > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.net email is sponsored by: Scholarships for Techies! > Can't afford IT training?
