Hi, I have exactly the same need as you do. I have some basic understanding on the xdoclet jdo code and should be able to make a patch. Let's do it together if you have interested.
I agree that a generic way as proposed by Michael should be one of the option. I wonder the validation can also be implemented using the generic method. if we can do so, then there is no need for seperated triactive, solarmetric... modules. fyi, i've submitted an issue to Jire.
