I am new to xDoclet (1 day old)

I am a J2EE developer using WSAD as my IDE
WSAD...... *shudder* :)
ie. Use the Wizard/tools to
Create an EAR Project
inside that Create an EJB project
When creating an EJB project, specify the name and type the wizard will
create the Home/ remote interfaces and the Bean class.
It's this pattern that XDoclet replaces.
Now add the business methods to the bean class. Promote them to Interfaces build the project
the ejb is ready
If you are fine using the tools in this manner, then XDoclet won't really help you. Its those of us that have diverse development environments and have do not have WSAD at every seat that like XDoclet. You will likely find XDoclet makes your life a bit harder from your current routine. If want to break from this routine, then XDoclet is where its at.
Want to know more (getting started) how xDoclet can aid me in my EJB development.

The website for XDoclet itself is very well done.
And definitely treat yourself to a copy of Manning's XDoclet in Action book. It's nicely done and will give you all the info you need to get going.
