Was your issue for where XDoclet deploys the generated code, or the source
locations?

Mick,

I experienced a similar problem when working across operating systems.
The problem was related to ANT build.xml and file separators.

The solution was tedious, but effective:
I placed this type of statement in the build.xml file
<echo message "build.deploy.dir = ${build.deploy.dir}" />
