I'll have a look into how to do this with the release of xdoclet, I really cant be arsed with bleeding edge stuff, and haven't the time. I use the hibernate tags and webdoclet (with apache tags) without too much bother.

I'd appreciate any input from anyone with experience of making tag templates with xdoclet 1.2. And any input on what i've been waffling on about so far. Have I missed anything? Also views on preprocessing jsp's into javafiles, and then generating the tiles defs from those could slow the build process a little (any views?) .

I'd be developing and primarily targeting ant 1.5.3 and xdoclet 1.2.1 as these are what i use at this time.

Yes, I'd like to. Now pico & nano exist in released / timestamped versions. Qdox also, and there is still small issue pending resolution in generama. ( XDOCLEt-16 on jira.codehaus.org , hibernate stuff will not work properly without this. )

xdoclet-2 is pretty stable, and plugins build just
fine.

I'm commiter for picoconatiner / nanocontainer /
xdoclet-plugins, so I'll have to lobby aslak to get
releases done.
