My take about this:

Angelo, you cannot use VT extensions twice, only one thing can use  
them.  Theoretically you could run a modified domU under VMware or  
VirtualBox since VT extensions are mainly for speed and for supporting  
HVM guests like Windows and FreeBSD.

OpenSolaris 2008.05 for the purpose of everything except  
virtualization works without many issues on VMware Fusion 2.0 beta on  
Mac OS X.  The main issues as they have been, is the mouse.
