NIST is now working with the DOM Working Group to produce a real
Standardized and Blessed Test Suite for the DOM. Community participation is
also welcome; a new public mailing list has been opened to encourage folks
to submit tests for review and possible inclusion. An announcement went out
to the XML-DEV list; I don't have a copy of it handy but I can dig it out
if folks are interested.
The folks who are working on regression tests for Apache may want to get
involved in that effort; they're still in the early stages of deciding
how/whether tests can be expressed in a language-independent manner, how
tests should be grouped, how results should be reported, and so on.
(Writing a test suite for an API may be somewhat different from writing one
for a particular code base!) I'm sure you've got something to contribute,
and their ideas might be useful input for your efforts as well.
