Nigel,
please be advised that X UnixWare 7 (supported by Xerces-C) is a
bit different from X OpenServer 5 (not so as of v1.5). Where X stands
for "the company formerly known as SCO" or similar, since they are now
in the Caldera sphere...
I have made a few patches for making Xerces-C 1.4.0 work as a single
threaded shared library on SCO OpenServer using gcc.
(Threading-libraries are a bit of a nightmare on OpenServer.) I will
post the patches to this list for CVS commit as soon as I get the
latest codebase and tidy stuff up a bit. In the meantime, I will send
you the stuff "raw" so you can play around with it if you want to.
