My exprience was that havy use of small sized dynamically allocated data in C++ code mostly strings causes a memory accumulation although correctly freed. The solution was to use -bmaxdata set to 1GB. It was enough for us but the memory usage did not stabilize. It seemd to us there is a bug in the c++ memory management in the libC.a.
