Write your own InputSource derivate which defers to MemBufInputSource but
tracks how many bytes have been delivered.

Yes, I'm using SAX.

...and thats the problem. How do I track the number of bytes requested from
the input buffer. I use MemBufInputSource and it has no .curPos() like
function calls. Do I need to add up the size of every element, attribute,
character, comment etc to get  some idea of the bytes processed. Seems
nasty. Any idea's?
