I just tried downloading one of the cvs files, and ran into the same
problem. Turns out that saving the file (as least in IE), saves the file
as "xml-xerces_20030619224319.tar.tar". Opening this gives that nasty
error that Naveen mentioned. Just change the filename to
"xml-xerces_20030619224319.tar.gz", and all will be well...
