Which is not to say that it won't work. I just finished building Xerces-C
(and the sample including DOMPrint) with gcc 2.95.1 on a Solaris 2.6 machine.
I did have to change a couple of things in the Makefile.incl since my gcc is
not installed in /usr/local, but that doesn't look like your problem.
