Rick,
The Xerces stuff is based on the XML4* code from IBM. However, all the
package names have been changed, comments, documentation, directory
names, etc. so there are likely to be problems for the next couple of
days. Consider this "pre-alpha" code, at this point.
There are a bunch of people working on getting the bugs out. So, if
you want something that is as stable as what's on Alphaworks, and you
don't have time to jump in right now and help squash the bugs, it's
probably best to wait a few days or so....
