I've been putting the user's email address in the change record when I commit to CVS. If the actual source files suck this in as well, that's fine with me, though I know some will disagree. I'd always put in the full address of the author, even if it is your own code. Why? Because some committers have short and cryptic usernames and there is no place on xml.apache.org that lists all committers, their usernames and their email addreses.
