I searched through the archives and I didn't see anything about this...

It looks like the latest XML4J is based on Xerces 1.2.1, which came out back in
October 2000. As I understood it, IBM further tests Xerces releases, and picks
particularly stable ones to label with its XML4J stamp of approval. Does this
mean that Xerces releases since 1.2.1 are less stable? Or that IBM has stopped
making XML4J releases? It's nice to have an extensively-tested version to use,
but I'd also like to be on a more up-to-date codebase. If I'm looking for the
most recent stable version of Xerces, is there any reason not to go with the
latest (1.4.1)? Is the current schema support considered fairly stable?
