I have been quiet because from my perspective the Xerces 2 code base has
been changing rapidly. I reported a problem with being unable to parse a
given XML. Hearing that you couldn't reproduce it, I refreshed my copy of
Xerces 2 and found that I was getting a null pointer exception. I
refreshed again a day or so later, and now a different junit test is
failing.

While this does not conclusively prove anything, these tests pass
consistently with Xerces 1 and Crimson.

I would welcome the opportunity to work together with anyone interested in
getting wider adoption of Xerces 2. If you would like to reproduce what I
am seeing, simply checkout xml-axis. Build the junit target using Ant
w/Xerces 2 in the class path.
