If you have serious concerns regarding Xerces abandoning JDK 1.1 support
please email to the xerces-j-dev mailing list, specifying why you can't use
a higher level of JDK and what parser features you are using.
As we've found in the past, not all users of Xerces read
or even subscribe to the mailing list. Therefore, I think
we should put a prominent note on the index page of the
docs that states the current release will be the last to
support Java 1.1.x and any concerns should be posted to
the mailing list. Then I'll give you my +1. :)
