I only use the parallel package, not the ledpar with which I'm unfamiliar. If
instead of using \begin{greek}...\end{greek} [not sure why this doesn't work
with ledpar and ledmac], I use \textgreek{} I get the Greek text to show and
hyphenate properly. My example below.
