Hi Khaled,
I did not intend to say anybody was insulting an another,
but the debate was getting there.
The question would be is what is a UI inconsistency.
Windows has conventions which are roughly followed.
Apple has HIG which one is supposed (has to) adhere to,
which they themselves do not always follow..
in the *nix world you have X11, and other environments
with their way of doing things.
I have look at TeXWorks and its UI is consistent, yet not directly
apparent to the beginner.
Xe(La)Tex is inconsistent in itself. (please do take offense).
Depending on what packages you need things have to loaded early or
later.
A package is loaded by another so you do not need it, but you should
load it anyway
to this or that. ( I am just generalizing what I have read here with
respect to fontspec, ...
and other packages). But, that is due to the structure and nature of
TeX.
The question still remains how much XeTeX does lshort need.
One thing is true it should be edited to give minimal XeTeX support
information.
regards
Keith.
