Honestly: does anyone here type apostrophe with the proper "2019 character?
Unless one does, using either
\lowercase{’} or
\lowercase{'}
with mapping=tex-text and the above assignment of lccode doesn't do
anything at all. One gets a proper apostrophe in the final document.
