Dear Michael,
I have a problem using pst-labo with XeLaTeX.
Here is a minimal example:
\documentclass{minimal}
\usepackage{pstricks,pst-labo}
\begin{document}
\begin{pspicture}
\pstTubeEssais
\end{pspicture}
\end{document}
It was compiled fine by XeLaTeX by using slightly old pstricks.
I can confirm the same error on Windows after updating the pstricks today.
