Oopssss, sorry... I forgot to do "source ~/.bashrc" in my existing shell. So indeed, I was using TeXLive 2012 and not TeXLive 2013 as I was thinking.
With TeXLive 2013 I also only get the "contents" of the test tube but not the tube itself.
