Regarding: Trident cyber9385 problems with Xvideo extension Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------------------------------------------------------------ XFree86 Version: 4.2.99.3
OS: Linux 2.4.20, custom Area: Xvideo extension Server: XFree86 (The XFree86 4.x server) Video Card: scanpci give: Trident Microsystems TGUI 9660/938x/968x Cyber9385, 2MB EDO ram. I don't have any more exact specs as this is a second-hand laptop with no documentation. Description: 1) When using Xvideo to play a movie, there is a thin blue vertical stripe at the far right of the image 2) When the image is >384 pixels wide, all of the image to the right of 384 pixels is just the last few pixels repeated. 3) When the image is >504 pixels wide, the whole image is garbled, and completely unrecognisable. (The blue stripe is still present, though) All of these were observed with both mplayer and gtv, under resolutions of 1024x768, 800x600 and 640x480. XFree86.0.log: This is a pre-release version of XFree86, and is not supported in any way. Bugs may be reported to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and patches submitted to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Before reporting bugs in pre-release versions, please check the latest version in the XFree86 CVS repository (http://www.XFree86.Org/cvs) XFree86 Version 4.2.99.3 / X Window System (protocol Version 11, revision 0, vendor release 6600) Release Date: 21 December 2002 If the server is older than 6-12 months, or if your card is newer than the above date, look for a newer version before reporting problems.
