hi, all I meet some problem when I install XFree86. I run
% xinit xclient
some error occurs and X server exit:
The XKEYBOARD keymap compiler (xkbcomp) report:
>Error: Cannot open "compiled/server-0.xkm" to write keyboard description
>Exit
Couldn't load XKB keymap, falling back to pre-XKB map
xterm: no available ptys; no such file or directory
waiting for X Server to shut down
can you tell me how to deal with this problem?
Is there relation between error "Couldn't load XKB keymap" and error "no available ptys"?
