I'm assumming you downloaded the drivers from nvidia web site. Did you download both kernal and glx rpms. It looks like you did not install the nvidia kernel rpm. Also make sure that if you do this to change the driver "?" (? may be vesa, etc...)in your XFree86config-4 file located in /usr/X11 directory. There should be installation documentation on the nvidia web site that tells you what variables to set and unset.
