I tried the "radeon" driver directly : no luck either.
Now, what is the dvi output of the radeon 7500 ? Do you mean the
7500 has dual output already ? Mine doesn't seem to have 2 outputs ...
only a vga. The 7500 isw a PCI , if it has any impact ...

On the other hand, the 8500 DV has a pretty fancy connector that needs to be
converted to VGA. I don't know what this connector is for ...

As you see, I am pretty clueless about the cards themselves :-)

What puzzles me is the fact that my 2 ATI cards cannot co-exist
in Xfree86 when everybody seem to say it has been supported since 4.0.

More specifically, I would like to know what those lines stand for :

This happens ONLY if I put both screens in the layout. Simply commenting
out one or the other works. Which also means that THERE IS a matching config
section, don't you think ?

Thanks
