Hi, I am new to linux/openbsd/x-windows. I installed XFree86 4.30(binaries downloaded from Xfree86.org) on OpenBSD 3.2 on IBM A31p laptop with radeon 7800 1.8ghz. Both startx and xdm fail. i found out from the message that it was using some /lib/libexec/libxft.so.2.1 referenced in ld.so. I have only /lib/libexec/libxft.so.1.1 so i copied the 1.1 to 2.1 and startx works fine. i could use xterm everything works fine. but when i try to start the xdm after the login screen i get session menu saying choosesessionlistwidget. i can only select default/fail safe and cancel buttons . it never starts xterm. i thought it's missing some config files in xdm directory and so copied the xdm config files from debian linux present on another partition on the same machine. still i get the same. can anyone help me out with this... thank you very much Srinivas
