I already asked about the libfontconfig.so.1 problem, but this is related. I still need help. I keep getting all sorts of errors about FT_Get_Next_Char, whether it is an undefined reference or whatever. What do I do about this error?! It prevents me from starting x at all unless I re-install it every time I reboot, and since I'm on a laptop that I take various places, I have to turn it off frequently, and therefore, if I wish to use linux instead of windows (which I always do since windows is of the devil) I have to reinstall X. Luckily, I don't have to recompile it, just a make install. Can anyone help me?
Which distro do you use? I have a MDK 9.1, and the following packages are installed (wrt libfontconfig) :
libfontconfig1-2.2.0-2mdk
libfontconfig1-devel-2.2.0-2mdk
fontconfig-2.2.0-2mdk
