Hi everybody. I'm a Linux user but also a videogames addicted so now I'd like to replace my old Geforce4 Ti4600 with the new ATI monster to improve my fragging experience ;). I would like to know to what extent this card works (or not works) under linux. I don't care much about 3D under linux but I'd like good 2D image & some windows acceleration. ATI official site doesn't have specific drivers and XFree 4.3 stable release I understood works good up to the 9700. I downloaded latest development release and CHANGELOG speaks of support for ATI 9x00 cards. Is x = 8 valid? ;)
