Hey there

You first need to install the VMWare Tools. Here's what you do

Logon as root and select Install VMWare Tools from the VMWare File. Then
mount the cdrom (mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom) and in it there
is a .tar.gz package. Copy it to the hard drive, extract it and follow
the instructions..

then don't forget to edit the XF86Config-4 file if there is any
configuration layout you need to add.
